Who are we?
We are NADIS (National Animal Disease Information Service). NADIS was formed in 1995 to promote animal health and welfare through better disease control and prevention. NADIS recognises this is best achieved by active veterinary health planning. Key to improving health is disease surveillance and veterinary-based animal health knowledge transfer, delivered to farmers by their veterinary surgeon.

We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, when you contact us about products and services or if you register to receive our forecasts.

The personal information we collect might include your name, workplace address, email address, and information regarding what pages are accessed and when. If you make a purchase, your card information is not held by us — it is collected by our third party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions.

NADIS processes personal data to provide its services. The lawful basis for processing is GDPR Article 6(1)(a) - consent.
The personal data processed includes contact details, quiz and biosecurity risk assessment results, and, if you are a Suitably Qualified Person (SQP), your SQP number.
If you are not an SQP, your data is not shared with any third party and is retained for one year.
SQP data (contact details, SQP number and quiz results) is shared with the Animal Medicines Training Regulatory Authority (AMTRA). This data is retained for one year.
As an individual, you have the right to erasure, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office. You have the right to erasure and the right to object to your data being used for direct marketing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office.
